We got the commitment letter from the bank, got a REALLY good interest rate (below 5%) and no points...There's something else that's been going on and I haven't mentioned it. It went very well. The inspector didn't have too many bad things to say about the house. I found out yesterday that my friend's sister and brother in law are getting divorced. It just hit me oddly, and made me super sad, even though I don't know them very well.I know people who've divorced, and I know people who've been on the brink of divorce (but worked it out)...but I guess this was more of a shock because it was so sudden. Yesterday (Tuesday) things seemed pretty good in the hair department. I make an "OK" salary I guess (a little over $37K), but I wish I was paid more. I know, we all wish that. Some interesting things happened over the past few days to my family, and since this blog is mostly anonymous, I'll post them here:1) My aunt's car was broken into on Tuesday and the presents she had for her little nieces and nephews were stolen. The plaintiff was claiming that the arrest was done maliciously and it caused him to be improperly imprisoned for an additional year (he'd gone back to jail only FOUR MONTHS after being out after 8 yrs).
